Bowker Oval – North Brighton

The aesthetic appeal of the Elevate structure, 2-bay swing set, Shop Cubby/Play Cafe, sand-play flower table, and Jitterbug rocker is truly remarkable, especially when showcased in the natural colour scheme of Deep Ocean, Mist Green, and Wheat, complemented by vibrant accents of Lycra Lime and timber panels/features. This combination creates a visually stunning play area that seamlessly blends with its surroundings.

The inclusion of various climbing ropes, a rock panel, and slides with different levels of accessibility, such as an easier stair access slide and a tunnel slide with a more challenging entry point, ensures a diverse range of play elements for both younger and older children. It fosters an inclusive and engaging environment where kids of all ages can enjoy themselves.

The revitalisation of the Bowker Oval Playspace was inspired by the North Brighton Community Garden. The distinctive features of the garden, including the entrance signage, timber fencing, and garden beds, were carefully integrated into the design options. After seeking community feedback through two consultation options, option 2 was chosen as the preferred design. Our collaborative efforts with the Council and Landscape Architects played a crucial role in refining and finalising the concept and designs.

We are delighted to have had the opportunity to bring this vision to life, ensuring that the Bowker Oval Playspace reflects the unique character of the North Brighton community. It is a testament to the power of collaboration and community engagement, resulting in a vibrant and inclusive outdoor space that will be cherished by children and families for years to come.
