What a statement!
One of our biggest and most remote projects to date, Copper City had its challenges from start to finish but what a magnificent project now that it is complete!
Mount Isa is a Copper and Zinc mining town in the Gulf Country of Outback Queensland (not far from the NT border). The creative architects wanted us to make the impossible – possible, as well as to have the project completed in time for Mount Isa’s 100 Year celebrations. Which we were proud to deliver!
Part of the challenging design brief was to install the main towers on mounds, symbolising the surrounding terrain. Three Elevate towers were joined by rope bridges spanning 7.7m and 6.2m in length, and the roofs were custom-made.
The Family Fun Park was opened with great fanfare by Bob Katter and Council dignitaries.
