Latrobe Special Development School is a specialist school for students with intellectual disabilities. They wanted to design and install three new play areas.
The main goal in the design of these play spaces was to incorporate as many bouncers as possible in the space with 4 added for sensory development and most importantly, fun!
New Essentials and Orbit structures were added for older students with a junior section for younger kids having interactive panels and a small Elevate structure.
The colours of the playground were based on the zones of regulation. The junior garden was designed in all green as the ‘green zone’ is happy, focused, calm and proud.
