Fun facts about Denae: I am a wife, a mum of two little boys (aged 9 and 6 years old) and a pup named Ringo (also a boy). I consider myself a bit nerdy, although I’m not the ‘super-smart’ nor ‘sci-fi’ nerdy type – I just find so much joy in the consistent, organised and practical 😊 I don’t get every joke but give me the job of caring for someone and I’ll do it well. As a family we love spending time with our grandparents, aunties/uncles and cousins, and enjoy playing board games, going for bike rides and walks.

Qualifications/ Degrees/ Certificates/ Participation trophies: I have no qualification in playgrounds nor admin but have worked in this field for over 12 years. During this time, I’ve also become a pastor working in a church and prior to working in admin was a fully qualified florist. I look forward to bringing something unique to our VIC team.

Favourite thing about working in the Playground Industry: This is a super fun industry, not to mention the great team I have the privilege of working with! There is something special about knowing you’re bringing joy to kids, even if the part I play only consists of office work.

Favourite project: So far, Cranbourne West Primary School – Senior Playground (planned design attached – yet to be completed).
